Julie Sandler-Friedman, PT, DPT, holds a doctorate in Physical Therapy, and is a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner.
She was a faculty member for 28 years in the Choreographer's Theater Dance Department at the New School University in New York City. She has taught at the School of Visual Arts, the Laban-Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies, the Michael Howard Acting Studio, and the Feldenkrais Learning Center. She currently lectures regularly at Red Door Community (formerly "Gilda's Club"), a center for free cancer support services. She has published articles in a variety of field publications. She continues her education in physical therapy, and has studied manual lymph drainage, perlvic floor and perinatal physical therapy, neurorehabilitation, myofascial release, and osteoporosis treatment, among other trainings. Other continuing education includes Craniosacral Therapy, Ruthy Alon's Bones For Life®, medical qigong, and therapeutic yoga.
Her work benefits people with a variety of medical conditions such as osteoporosis, sciatica, arthritis, Parkinson's Disease, spinal problems and chronic muscle tension. It is also useful for perinatal women and those recovering from injury (including athletic and dance injuries) or surgery (including spinal surgery and joint replacements).
